I have a high power AllStar RF 2m simplex FM node which is open for local amateur operators. The node is located near Beerwah CBD. Frequency is 145.350MHz with a 91.5 CTCSS. Node Number is 547452. Hardware is a Raspberry Pi 3B+ and a R1-2023 USB interface by BH7NOR, running Hamvoip software into a Motorola GM339 transceiver. Transceiver is running at 20 watts into a diamond X30 antenna at around 3M high.
Key up and have a chat on AllStar!
73 and enjoy the AllStar network, Cheers Glenn VK4NGA
*NOTE* YOU DON’T NEED to signup to AllStar or have a node number to use this node, simply set your radio up as above and you’re good to go.
When you PTT you’ll know if you’re getting into the node as you’ll hear it come back to you with a “Short Tone Tail”.

GENERAL OPERATING FOR THIS ALLSTAR NODE:
PLEASE DON’T USE DTMF TONES to control this node. The reason is that your tones go right across the AllStar network so all connected devices will hear the tones. Some hubs/networks do not allow DTMF tones at all.
This node has IP links and other digital modes bridged so you must leave breaks of at least 3 seconds between overs. That way it allows other connected device timers to reset and other users that may want to join the QSO enough time to jump in.
This node is not permanently connected to any Nodes/Hubs. It will be generally connected to the VK3RBA linked system 50522 or VK-OzHUB 61624 during the day and some evenings it will be connected to HubNet UK or the East Coast Reflector in the USA.
Unlike other digital voice modes no data is transmitted via the network so make sure you announce your call sign – but not required every over.
NODE IDENT, COURTESY TONES and ANNOUNCEMENTS:
There are courtesy tones which mimic a repeater tail on TX/RX and connect/disconnect to nodes/hubs. This node will voice announce connections to nodes/hubs.
Also it will announce the time every hour, and the node’s ident via CW every 10 minutes.
